An Entry Level Position. The EDM Intern will be responsible for keeping the production machines running & making sure all parts meet the high quality standards of CAM Tech. While keeping production running is key, this is also a training position, so it is expected that you will learn additional Wire EDM skills.
Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Manufacture QUALITY parts per our customer’s specifications while striving to maintain CAM Tech’s internal Zero Scrap policy
Read simple prints
Work to close tolerances & utilize a variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements for Quality Assurance
Fill out Quality Inspection Reports
Performs general housekeeping duties in department/shop to maintain cleanliness and organization.
Sandblast finished parts as necessary
The position is a second-shift position to be scheduled 2pm – 10pm Monday through Friday, every other day through the 2nd semester of the school year. The position will be in a climate-controlled environment for machining accuracy. Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, regularly lift up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Candidate will be regularly required to stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility and will be exposed to normal shop elements such as noise and machining residue.

Education and Work Experience:
Currently Enrolled in High School or a H.S. Graduate. Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak English as well as have basic math and computer skills.
