The Muskego Lions Club was chartered on April 15, 1950. We meet at Muskego Lakes Country Club from September through May on the first and third Mondays of the month.
Please give a brief history of your business.
A like-minded group of business leaders who were dedicated to service began the club in 1950. Since then, we have extended our group to anyone who has a passion for service to others. Our diverse membership has a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and compassion that positively is making a difference in the lives of those WE SERVE.
Our theme for this year is:
Celebrating 75 Years of Meaningful, Impactful Servant Leadership in Muskego, Wisconsin & Globally
That phrase sums up what Muskego Lions is all about.
In what way does your organization impact our community?
WE SERVE together positively by moving Muskego and beyond through scholarships, holiday food basket deliveries, adopt a highway clean up, vision screening, eyeglass recycling, eye tissue transporting, drug awareness, and many other impactful projects. We raise monies that go back into Muskego as well as to Wisconsin Lions Camp located in Rosholt, WI. This enables kids and adults with diverse abilities to attend camp at no charge.
Tell us unique things about your organization, such as awards you've received, special products you offer, or cool volunteer stories.
Our Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast with Santa are time-honored events. It is wonderful to see multiple generations of families enjoying these traditional gatherings. We distribute free safety items at National Night Out, and with the support of local businesses and individuals, we sponsor the D.A.R.E. program through our Holly’s Hope drug awareness initiative. Our Fortune 5000 event, Jamboree & Raffle, as well as other fundraisers enable our club to raise monies for Muskego and Lions Charities.
What do you love about our community and participating in the Muskego Chamber of Commerce?
Partnering with Muskego area businesses for the past 75 years has been a blessing. WE SERVE together with these businesses making our community a great place to work, play, and live!
