North Shore Bank (Muskego)

North Shore Bank Logo
Muskego North Shore Bank is located in front of the Muskego Pick'n Save just east of Lannon Drive on Janesville Road and Muskego resident, Stephanie Ruiz, is the branch manager.
Please give a brief history of your business.
North Shore Bank was established in 1923. We have over forty branches located all over Wisconsin and one location in Illinois. North Shore Bank is very involved with the community, and focused on customers and employees.
In what way does your business impact our community?
North Shore has developed a new role called a Community Engagement Manager in an effort to participate more in our communities. We are always trying to find ways to help and be involved with the activities in the community.
In what way does participation with other Chamber businesses help your business?
Being part of the Muskego Chamber has been the best thing for our branch. I am meeting new people regularly and building relationships with people I see at events. The chamber is very involved and helps promote our business.
Tell us unique things about your business, such as awards you've received, special products you offer, or cool employee stories.
North Shore holds an annual Wrap Up Rally for their branch employees. Throughout the year, employees are given goals to meet or exceed per their role. At the end of the year, top performers receive awards. As a Branch Manager, I have the opportunity to win a vacation if awarded top manager of the bank. I have won this award every year since becoming manager in 2018. In my Muskego branch, each employee role has been awarded top performer along with our location being named Branch of the Year.
What do you love about Muskego?
My family moved to Muskego in 2003. I love that everyone knows everyone in Muskego. It's like a big family here. I graduated from Muskego High, live in Muskego, and work in Muskego. I enjoy being so close to the lake and the country feeling that is here. I also love how involved Muskego's businesses and citizens are in the community. Our mayor is well known, keeps us well informed of current events, and is very approachable.
Below is Team Muskego.

Vintage Grounds Coffeehouse

Vintage Grounds snipped

Vintage Grounds Coffeehouse is the recipient of Muskego's 2021 Community Advocate Award. We are excited to present Erin and Ryan Zielinski's story and thrilled to have their team in our community.

Please give a brief history of your business.

We purchased the business in 2019 and rebranded it as Vintage Grounds Coffeehouse. Our goal was to make it a community gathering place.

In what way does your business impact our community?

Vintage Grounds does everything we can to support the wonderful community of Muskego. From our live music evenings to our Pay It Forward board, we strive to make this community a lovely place. Collaboration with others is key to success. We are all stronger together!

Tell us unique things about your business, such as awards you've received, special products you offer, or cool employee stories.

We've received these awards:

  • Muskego Chamber's Business of the Year 2020
  • Top Choice Coffee Shop 2021
  • Muskego's Community Advocate Award 2021

While we are all about coffee, we also offer a breakfast and lunch menu along with other favorite beverages. We enjoy our partnership with Muskego High School's Connect Academy students. Although we (Erin and Ryan) did not attend Muskego-Norway Schools, our children do.

What do you love about Muskego?

We've lived here for eleven years and we love the small town vibe in a medium-sized city along with the MUSKEGO STRONG mentality.

Thank you, Erin and Ryan, for being a valuable member of the Muskego Chamber and an active participant in our community. Stop by Vintage Grounds soon and say "hi" to the Zielinskis!
