Ambassador Team

Chair: Krisann Durnford (Chamber's Executive Director)
Ambassadors are the goodwill arm of the Chamber. They are engaged and passionate about our community and the Chamber's mission. If you enjoy meeting people and "selling" them on the benefits of partnership and collaboration with other business members, this is your committee!
Duties
  • Attend monthly meetings (first Wednesday at 9 a.m.).
  • Attend Chamber events (Business After Hours, Community Events, Networking Lunches, Ribbon Cutting/Groundbreaking Ceremonies).
  • Promote the Chamber and its mission.
  • Recruit new business members.
  • Connect with existing business members to identify ways the Chamber can help and educate them on Chamber benefits.
  • Participate in the annual membership drive.

Economic Development Committee

Chair: Don Reidy (Don Reidy's Estate Services)
This committee partners with local government to identify areas where the Chamber can be a valuable partner and actively promoting business development within the community. If you are passionate about seeing our business community grow in quantity and quality, this is the committee for you.
Duties
  • Attend committee meetings as scheduled.
  • Focus on current projects as identified and defined by this committee and the Chamber's Board of Directors.
  • Represent the business community in current economic development efforts.

Education & Mentoring Committee

Chair: Krisann Durnford (Muskego Chamber)
The Muskego Chamber partners with the Muskego-Norway School District and area private schools to offer business education opportunities through various student activities and workforce development projects. If you are passionate about developing the future workforce, this committee offers opportunity for you.
Duties
  • Partner with Muskego-Norway Schools Connect Academy program.
  • Attend committee meetings as scheduled (second Tuesday of each month during the school year).
  • Volunteer at Career Days, Community Service Days, Mock Interviews, and Mentoring Events.
  • Serve on the Scholarship Judging Committee.

Events Committee

Chair: Joseph Kreuser (CAM Tech, Inc)
The Events Committee helps organize and implement the Chamber's events for business members and the community.
Duties
  • Attend committee meetings as scheduled (8 a.m. on the second Thursday of the month).
  • Focus on annual events organized by the Chamber of Commerce as identified and defined by the Chamber's Board of Directors.
  • Assist in obtaining event sponsors and promoting the event to businesses and/or community.
  • Volunteer in the planning, setup/clean up, and activities of the Chamber's events.
  • Current annual events handled by this committee include the Awards Gala & Fundraiser (March), Jammin' in the Park (June), and Golf Outing (September).

Festival & Parade

Chair: Megan Barwick (Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral & Cremation Service)
Do you enjoy summer weather, community gatherings, and large events? The DandiLion Daze community festival has all of this and more. This committee is tasked with organizing the festival parade on the last Sunday of August and recruiting volunteers to cover festival shifts.
Duties
  • Volunteering at the DandiLion Daze community festival on the last weekend of August.
  • Helping with parade unit staging on the morning of the last Sunday in August.

Small Business Council

Chair: Joseph Kreuser (CAM Tech, Inc)
If you are passionate about growing our business community with new, innovative techniques, we want to hear your ideas. This committee supports and promotes local and small business efforts.
Duties
  • Attend committee meetings as scheduled.
  • Recruit for and promote business member spotlights.
  • Plan, implement, and promote Buy Chamber and Shop Local programs.
  • Promote Small Business Season (November 1 - December 31) and Small Business Saturday (Saturday after Thanksgiving).
  • Develop roundtable discussions for business members.

Women's Business Connections

If you are a businesswoman who wants to see other businesswomen succeed, you may enjoy serving on the steering committee for the Women's Business Connections (WBC).
Duties
  • Attend monthly committee meetings (noon on the first Wednesday of the month).
  • Organize, prepare, and promote WBC's activities, events, and members.
